Privacy Policy

Make Invoice Now is built privacy-first: the invoices you create stay in your own browser. This page explains what limited data is processed when you visit the site, how cookies and advertising work, and the rights you have over your information.

Last updated: August 6, 2026

Invoices never leave your device

Everything you type into the generator is stored in your browser only.

No accounts, no profiles

There is no sign-up, so we hold no name, password or customer record.

Clear cookie disclosure

We explain every cookie category, including advertising cookies.

01

Who we are

Make Invoice Now (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a free online invoice generator operated by Emam Media LTD and available at makeinvoicenow.com. This policy applies to this website and the tools published on it. By using the site you agree to the practices described here.

If you have questions about this policy, or wish to exercise any of the rights described below, email us at support@makeinvoicenow.com.

02

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Invoice content — business and client details, line items, logos, notes and totals. This is processed entirely inside your browser and is never transmitted to us.
  • Messages you send us — if you use the contact page or email us, we receive your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard server log data (see “Log files” below).
  • Cookie and device identifiers set by our advertising and analytics partners, where you have not opted out.

We do not operate user accounts, we do not ask for payment details, and we do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data.

03

How your invoice data is stored

Invoice drafts are saved using your browser’s localStorage, a sandboxed area on your own device. The data stays on your computer or phone. Clearing your browser storage, or using the “Clear” action in the generator, permanently removes it.

Uploaded logos are converted to a local data URL and stored the same way. PDFs are generated in your browser and downloaded directly — no copy is sent to a server.

04

Log files

Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard log files. These may include your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, date and time stamps, and the number of clicks. This information is not linked to any personally identifiable information and is used for administering the site, analysing trends and diagnosing problems.

05

Cookies and local storage

A cookie is a small file placed on your device. We and our partners use cookies and similar browser storage for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary storage — localStorage for your invoice draft and theme preference, and sessionStorage on password-protected pages so you are not asked to re-authenticate after a refresh.
  • Advertising cookies — set by third-party ad vendors to serve and measure advertisements (see the next section).
  • Analytics cookies — used only if analytics is enabled, to understand aggregate traffic patterns.

You can disable or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the invoice generator, which works without them. For general information about cookies and how to manage them, see allaboutcookies.org.

06

Advertising and Google AdSense

This website may display advertising supplied by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. These partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance.

  • Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads to visitors of this site based on their visits to this and other websites on the internet.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks may use cookies, web beacons or JavaScript in the advertisements and links that appear on this site. They receive your IP address automatically when this occurs. We do not control these technologies and this policy does not cover them.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by Google by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices and the NAI opt-out page.
  • Where required by law, visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent notice before non-essential advertising or measurement cookies are set, and consent can be withdrawn at any time.

Google’s own handling of data is described in the Google Privacy & Terms page.

07

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors, build advertising profiles, or read the contents of your invoices.

08

Third-party links and partners

Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their privacy policies. Our third-party processors are limited to our hosting provider, our email provider, and the advertising and analytics vendors named above.

We never sell, rent or trade personal information. We disclose information only where required by law or to protect our legal rights.

09

GDPR rights (EEA and UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Our legal bases for processing are consent (for non-essential cookies), legitimate interests (site security and aggregate analytics), and performance of your request (replying to your email).

To exercise any right, email support@makeinvoicenow.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10

CCPA rights (California)

California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected, request deletion of personal information we hold, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Requests can be sent to support@makeinvoicenow.com and we will not discriminate against you for making one.

11

Children's privacy

This site is intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where applicable local law sets a higher age). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12

Data retention

Invoice data is retained on your device until you delete it. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable record afterwards. Server logs are retained for a short period by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics.

13

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and browser storage is sandboxed per origin. However, locally stored data is only as secure as the device it lives on — avoid saving sensitive invoice details on shared or public computers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
